What you will do in your working day

General Business Administration duties:

• Understanding Systems and Processes: Gaining insight into various business departments, including Production, HR and finance, comprehending and utilising their systems and processes.
• Administrative Support: Assisting different departments by handling tasks such as processing mail, data inputting and retrieval and managing records.
• Communication: Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, clients and suppliers through written and verbal communications.
• Project Support: Supporting managers and HR in project-related activities such as planning, coordination, and documentation.
• Professional Growth: Taking charge of personal and professional development by actively seeking learning opportunities within the role. Managing your own workload to accommodate necessary training for the apprenticeship qualification.

Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability duties (This position will assist the H&S team in administration with the following):

• Skill Enhancement: Engaging in Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability training and job shadowing with the Health & Safety Manager and Health, Safety & Environmental Officer to develop expertise in the field.
• Risk Assessments: Providing support in conducting risk assessments and identifying hazards within the factories.
• Accident Investigation: Investigating near misses and accidents to pinpoint causes and establish preventive measures for future occurrences.
• Documentation Management: Maintaining precise records of Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability inspections, incidents, and training activities.
• Effective Communication: Collaborating with employees and management to foster a positive Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability culture throughout the organisation.

The training you will be getting

Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard 

Training to be based within the workplace with scheduled visits from your allocated trainer/tutor. 

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Upon successful completion, the candidate will have the opportunity to pursue a further apprenticeship in Health & Safety.
