What you will do in your working day

  • In a busy industrial sales office, you will be carrying out the following tasks.
  • Taking customer enquiries from receipt, through to order and ensuring excellent customer service at all times
  • Understanding product ranges in depth and being able to provide the most appropriate technical solutions to customer problems as well as acting as a technical support for other members of staff
  • Liaising with our manufacturers over pricing, lead times deliveries, technical issues
  • Developing new sales opportunities by phone, email and face to face visits
  • Turning new customers into high spending key accounts
  • Looking for and developing new suppliers of products
  • Utilising and maintaining our Sage CRM system
  • Understanding and working within our SAGE Accounts program
  • Producing sales and marketing data for review
  • Attending and running stands at trade shows
  • Working with the marketing team to develop new innovative and targeted schemes

The training you will be getting

  • On Point Apprenticeships programmes are delivered through a mixture of face-to-face and virtual methods by our fully qualified and industry experienced apprentice training team.
  • Using their expert knowledge gained from time spent in the industry, we have tailored our programmes to use the most up-to-date tools and technologies so that the skills we create can be used directly in the workplace.
  • As one of our learners, you will benefit from, help, guidance and coaching from our dedicated team whose job it is to ensure your success.
  • Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship qualification.
  • In addition to your written work, you will receive training on products, sales skills and technical certification and standards. This will be provided in-house and by accredited third parties.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Progression to a Sales Executive Level 4 available.  This is genuine career opportunity with and established and growing company
