Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Accounts or Finance Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:
- An apprenticeship in accounting is split between employment with the firm and external studies
- One day a week might be spent working towards accountancy qualifications; the rest is spent developing practical and relevant skills
Apprentices will be required to take one of the professional qualifications listed below, as chosen by the employer to be most relevant to the job role:
- AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting
- ACCA Certificate in financial and management accounting (level 2)
- IAB Level 2 certificate in bookkeeping
- ICB Level 2 certificate in bookkeeping
