What you will do in your working day

You will experience all elements of a letting agency, though we are an online letting agent, and office based, so don’t physically visit properties.

You will cover everything from advertising properties, looking after tenants and landlords during the move in process, all the way through to handling mid-tenancy issues that arise, and the end of tenancy process. Essentially the entire cycle from finding a tenant to ending a tenancy.

Duties would include:

  • General letting administration, such as creating property adverts, taking enquiries, processing reference checks, drafting contracts etc
  • Taking calls and responding to emails
  • Providing landlords and tenants with advice
  • Dealing with administration duties arising from inventories, property inspections & check-outs
  • Arranging for certificates to be renewed
  • Helping with maintenance issues

As part of this programme you will complete the level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard.

The Business Administrator apprenticeship programme is the perfect entry into a professional working environment. It will provide the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours that are desirable within any business sector and will also provide foundation skills that can be developed and built on to progress into supervisory roles.

The apprenticeship provides an insight into the business environment and influences, it will lay the foundation knowledge for success.

Things to consider

Please note that the role is office-based and does not include visits to property. A time sheet needs to be completed monthly, and you are paid on the last working day of each month based on the hours worked. 28 days holiday per year (including bank holidays). We are a small, friendly team based in Diss. We like to take part in charity events during the year. Last year we completed the Norwich Bubble Run and Midnight walk. We have Pizza Friday on the last Friday of the month : )
