What you will do in your working day

To provide the following with supervision:

  • To provide an efficient and effective administration support function to the administration team
  • To liaise with staff, pupils, parents and other visitors regarding school related enquiries by telephone, email and face-to face
  • With relevant training, to use school based computerised records/management information systems (arbor)
  • Undertake word processing tasks
  • File/store/record data and information in line with procedures
  • Working flexibly as a member of the administration team
  • Organising and supporting various events and meetings etc.
  • Opening and distributing post

The training you will be getting

Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship usually takes around 12-18-months to complete.

Apprentices without level 2 English and maths (GCSE grade 4 or equivalent) will need to achieve this prior to taking the end-point assessment.

As part of the apprenticeship, you will build a portfolio of evidence related to your role and requirements of the end point assessment.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Once the apprenticeship has been completed, you will gain the level 3 qualification and also valuable experience working within the school administration team.
