What you will do in your working day

Ensure the smooth running of the reception and prioritise workload as appropriate.

Answer telephone enquiries in a prompt, efficient and helpful manner.

Will liaise with hospitals and other outside agencies regarding appointments, missing hospital correspondence and test results.

Deal with enquiries from patients professionally and sympathetically.

Will request prescriptions and complete administrative tasks.

Will provide additional administrative support to the practice as required.

The training you will be getting

You will be working towards a Level 3 Business Adminstration Level 3 Standard, which is 15 months with a 3 month end point assessment window. Training will take place once monthly and will be at your workplace.
Functional Skills Level 2 in maths and English, if required.
