What you will do in your working day

  • Develop products efficiently, safely and within agreed timescales
  • Add new concepts to databases and book in handovers
  • Work with designers to get new lines designed and send for Quotation.
  • Analyse costs and complete ROI as required to ensure new lines meet required margin.
  • Arrange samples and manage due dates so stakeholders are aware, so we can support in getting all marketing assets ready.
  • Liaise with QA Compliance Team to discuss test requirements and ensure all safety requirements are captured and products meet our fit for purpose test.
  • Ensure new Product Specifications are completed accurately capturing all essential information including BOM information.
  • Uploads of all essential documents for sign off and work with other departments to get signed off and products ordered.
  • Product Cost management.
  • Product resourcing when needed.
  • Product amendments to existing.
  • Attend meetings and manage minutes/actions.
  • Build and update worksheets and plans to drive accountability within the teams and update on any changes.
  • Create labels and care notes for new launches.
  • Create EAN barcodes for all new launches.
  • Upload artwork and/or tech files to systems and send to suppliers.
  • Manage/update cost changes in the system as needed.
  • Data analysis

The training you will be getting

Level 4 Associate Project Manager apprenticeship standard including APM Project Management Qualifications (PMQ).

This is a work based programme which means that predominantly, your learning will take place on the site of your employment and within your contracted working hours.

There is a requirement for a 6 - 8 week college attendance, one day per week with an exam at the end. This is for the securement of the PMQ.

We host supporting workshops regularly throughout the apprenticeship which you can attend in person at our Derby Road campus or online using Microsoft Teams. These workshops are carefully designed to support the learning required throughout the apprenticeship programme.

You will work with expert assessors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession.

You will experience a blended learning model.

You will gather learning evidence, journals and off-the-job records using your e-portfolio.

At the end of the planned learning period, it will be agreed by all parties that you are ready to enter 'Gateway' and for your End Point Assessment to be arranged.
