What you will do in your working day

  • Under the guidance of teachers, the apprentice will be involved in working with children to support the education, personal and social development of pupils
  • Establishing positive relationships to assist in structured learning activities
  • Duties may include, supporting in learning activities, producing learning resources and assisting in the development of skills that support pupils' learning

The training you will be getting

  • As part of this role the successful candidate will be expected to work towards and complete the apprenticeship standard, TA - Level 3
  • The apprentice will be supported with induction and internal on the job training in their role and will be expected to log the appropriate level of off the job training supported by their workplace mentor
  • The successful candidate will also be required to complete functional skills initial assessments in maths and English. maths, English functional

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • At the end of the apprenticeship, the apprentice will have had the opportunity to develop into an effective Teaching Assistant
  • This will be done under the guidance and support of a dedicated and experienced team
  • Whilst there is no guarantee of employment, the school will actively support the apprentice in looking for jobs and preparing for interview
