What you will do in your working day

What the apprentice will be doing - 

  • Raising, tracking and assisting in observations, and take part in “go look and see” where relevant.
  • Communicate and engage with staff raising awareness of the SHE sites goals and reporting back to HSE Lead.
  • Taking part in progressing HSE Champions knowledge and engaging with them.
  • Assist in conducting investigations of accidents, incidents, near misses to find the root cause and create action plans to address actions needed.
  • Research SHE issues and best practices, review updates of SHE regulations making sure that information is accurate and up to date.
  • Assisting and conducting audits for SHE areas across site.

The training you will be getting

  • Upon completion of the apprenticeship, the candidate will receive the qualification and title of Safety, Health and Environment Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship standard
  • The apprentice will receive their training at Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.
  • Training to be discussed in depth with the candidate at a later stage.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Upon completion the candidate may possibly be offered a full-time role with the company. To be discussed in more depth with the candidate.
