    Working hours are 40 per week from 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday. The central planning team operates 6 days per week and there will be occasions when this role will be required to work a Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work.

What you will do in your working day

As part of your training, you will support in the three main areas of the company, namely parcel collection and delivery co-ordination, dedicated same day deliveries and HGV logistics. The role will include all aspects of training as below:

  • Supporting the office manager with administration tasks including: filing, retrieval of information, scanning, photocopying, etc.
  • Communication in various formats i.e. telephone, email, etc. 
  • Obtain information regarding locations of transport, drivers, deliveries etc., and co-ordinate further deliveries and collections 
  • Completion and maintenance of relevant paperwork via PC, paper-based, email
  • Use of internal computerised systems to plan journeys, calculate mileage, etc
  • Processing of orders and invoicing External work including supporting with vehicle checks, [remises upkeep, alongside all staff members, etc

The training you will be getting

Business Administration Level 3 Standard

Workplace based – College work to complete on-site at workplace (six hours per week) which replaces one-day per week college attendance)

Full time employment – further training on a leading routing system
