What you will do in your working day

Working within a close kitchen team, working alongside a senior chef in the running of the chosen section. The right candidate will be as passionate about food as we are - and passionate about maintaining our high standards.

The successful canditate will be taught the menu and recipes as needed, learning and following all the hygiene rules and regulations.

As an employer we will teach you how to complete the following tasks:

  • Working everyday with fresh produce
  • Making bread doughs
  • Basic butchery & fish preparation
  • Making sauces & stocks
  • Working in a clean and tidy manner
  • Working within a team

The training you will be getting

  • In-house training will be given, set around the menu and equipment.
  • Full induction and shadowing/on-going training with trained chef.
  • Apprentices will also have an allocated College Assessor who will make regular visits to the restaurant and conduct on-site training as well as conduct three-way reviews to ensure momentum and progress.
  • Level 2 Production Chef qualification

  • Further progression may well be available in other areas within our sector, upon successful completion of the apprenticeship

We’re a family run Italian restaurant in the heart of Churchtown Village, Southport. We’ve been trading for 10 years now and always evolving and adapting to keep up with current trends. We have a kitchen team built of 5 chefs. We make everything in-house from breads, pizza dough, pasta, sauces, stocks, and lots more. We strive to use fresh local ingredients wherever possible and love to get creative for specials!
