What you will do in your working day

  • The post holder will work within their competencies to provide a high standard of work whilst being professional.
  • Work with the practice team to ensure full compliance with Care Quality Commission standards for safe and effective care. To follow practice policies and protocols.
  • Working with the Administrative Team covering tasks such as scanning, filing and monitoring the practice email account. There will be an opportunity to learn patient registrations, coding of clinical documents and assisting with the data input of immunisations
  • Working with the Reception Team covering both the front desk and the phone lines. This includes helping patients and assisting them with queries, booking appointments and processing prescription requests
  • Both Reception and Admin teams action internal tasks/messages from GPs, nurses and other staff members
  • Working under the direction of Team Supervisors in a busy teaching practice

The training you will be getting

  • Upon completion of your apprenticeship, you will receive a Level 3 Business Administrator qualification
  • Your training will take place across one full day a fortnight at Billingham Community Centre, The Causeway, Billingham, Stockton on Tees, TS23 2DA
  • Where a business administrator has not already achieved Level 2 English and maths, they must do so before taking the end-point assessment
