    Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 4.00pm. 7.5 hours a day 30 mins lunch break, flexible working so as long as 7.5 hours a day worked employees can start between 8am and 10 am and leave between 4pm and 6pm.

What you will do in your working day

  • Management of monthly clients
  • To provide these clients with a full range of accounts, VAT and taxation services
  • Prepare the annual accounts of limited and non-limited company status clients and input the data into Iris
  • Produce final draft accounts and tax computations for review
  • To assist with the personal tax department as and when required
  • To organise workload to ensure most efficient use of time
  • Plan and delegate work to ensure efficient production of accounts, and VAT returns
  • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with Warr and Co's systems
  • Dealing with correspondence
  • Ensure all deadline dates are monitored to avoid clients being fined or charged interest/penalties.
  • To train, develop and manage those team members reporting to you to maximise their performance
  • To contribute to the continuous improvement of systems throughout the business
  • To keep up to date with legislation and regulations to enable you to give quality advice to our clients
  • Notify clients of any deficiencies in their records and assist clients to improve their book-keeping systems
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested from time to time

The training you will be getting

  • You will have 20% of your working week dedicated to your studies, 10% of which will be spent physically at The Apprentice Academy in Manchester
  • The other 10% will provide you time to work on revision for any upcoming exams and to complete any administrative tasks set by the Academy or required for your Apprenticeship
  • You will be working towards a Level 3 AAT qualification

  • For the right person, assuming qualifications obtained, future directorship is possible
