What you will do in your working day

The main aim for the successful candidate is to provide support to the reception teacher across a range of child centred activities.

Other job role duties will include:

  • Prepping the classroom area
  • Helping to prepare activities for the children
  • Leading small groups during reading time
  • Observing children’s play both indoors and outdoors
  • Assisting during off site visits and school trips
  • Creating displays

The training you will be getting

Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

  • Functional Skills maths if required
  • Functional Skills English if required

The training will take place within the workplace over the duration of the apprenticeship
