What you will do in your working day

  • Work alongside our Activity Professionals in local primary schools to support their delivery of high-quality PE and School Sport
  • Deliver breakfast, lunchtime and after school clubs
  • Support in the delivery of our special projects which includes archery and fencing
  • Help with setting up and putting away of equipment
  • Deliver/assist on our Ofsted registered holiday camp

The training you will be getting

  • The programme will consist of online learning, webinars, practical workshops, and workplace visits from a tutor
  • At the end of training, you will achieve a Level 4 Sports Coach qualification and Functional Skills as required

Things to consider

Having own transport and a full driving licence is desirable as you will be expected to make your way to various locations throughout the working day. To lead sessions within a school environment at the end of your apprenticeship, you will need to be 17 or 18 years plus at the start of your apprenticeship, so you are ready to be deployed as a lead coach, once your training is complete. Salary increments will be implemented throughout your apprenticeship, to £7 PH.
