What you will do in your working day

You will develop with your role with the responsibilities of;

Reconciling purchase ledger statements monthly

Registering of purchase invoices

Accurate payment of all purchase ledger accounts

Maintaining company credit card records

Reconciling copmany bank statements

Banking and cash management

Expenses and petty cash control

The training you will be getting

Level 2 Accountancy Apprenticeship Standard
Relevant training will be provided through Lancaster and Morecambe College in order to complete the programme
Functional Skills may also have to be completed

Apprentices will be required to take one of the professional qualifications listed below, as chosen by the employer to be most relevant to the job role:

AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting
ACCA Certificate in financial and management accounting (level 2)
IAB Level 2 certificate in bookkeeping
ICB Level 2 certificate in bookkeeping

Accounts or finance assistant / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education
