What you will do in your working day

Reporting to the Production Supervision team, the role is based within the factory and successful candidates will receive on the
job training and guidance from experienced and highly skilled personnel, duties will include:

  • Covering all aspects of work within the factory 
  • Working with Galvanised Sheet Metal 
  • Making products for Smoke Systems , Ventalation and Extract
  • Using various types of handtools, powertools and spot-welding techniques 
  • Working with Stainless Steel, manufacutring high intergrity systems.

Training will be given in the safe and proper use of the different machines used in the manufacturing process. This includes the
use of the CNC Press Brake, Laser Cutter, Iron Worker and various others.

The training you will be getting

  • Level 2 Engineering Opertaive Apprenticeship Standard qualification
  • Apprenticeship Training will take place both inside the workplace and outside at Rochdale Training, day release is to be confirmed with the employer

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Once qualified, progression is offered to the correct candidate.
