Summary

We are recruiting for a Level 3 Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technician to join our current team. You will be trained to be competent in maintaining the safety, reliability and performance of a diverse range of industrial equipment including CNC saws, automatic handling systems, laser cutting machines, gantry cranes and much more.

Annual wage
£18,000 a year

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • This Apprenticeship will give you the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to work as Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technician
  • You will attend York College on a day release basis
  • The qualifications achieved upon completion of the apprenticeship are Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Level 3, plus Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Diploma Level 3

Essential qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

  • 2 other subjects (grade 4/C)
  • English (grade 4/C)
  • maths (grade 6/B)
  • science or technical subject (grade 4/C)

Other requirements

You must be able to make your own travel arrangements to National Tube Stockholders on Dalton Industrial Estate near Thirsk and to York College in order to complete your apprenticeship training.
