What you will do in your working day

PIPEKIT are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant Apprentice to join our small, friendly accounts team.

The apprentice will be assisting with all aspects of the accounts function including:

  • Purchase Ledger
  • Sales Ledger
  • Credit Control
  • Basic bookkeeping activities
  • Dealing with accounts enquiries by phone or email

We will support you to spend 1 day per week at college working towards the AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting.

The training you will be getting

You will be working towards gaining the skills, knowledge and behaviours to achieve your level 2 Accounts or Finance Assistant Apprenticeship. 

  • AAT Level 2 qualification
  • ACCA Certificate in financial and management accounting (level 2)
  • IAB Level 2 certificate in bookkeeping
  • ICB Level 2 certificate in bookkeeping
  • Accounts or finance assistant/Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education

You will attend Shrewsbury College, London Road campus 1 day a week and the remainder of the working week will be in the workplace. 

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Upon completion of the Level 2 apprenticeship, the apprentice can progress to the next Level 3 qualification.
