What you will do in your working day

  • The specific type of work will vary contract to contract, the types of tasks we cover include: 
  • Learning about a range of systems 
  • Bathroom Installs 
  • Hot and cold Water systems 
  • Emergency repairs 
  • Domestic and commercial sites (although primarily domestic)
  • Develop a neat and methodical approach to your work 

The training you will be getting

You will work at college one day a week to gain your Level 3 Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician Standard and practice your skills on a range of our sites mentored by a qualified operative. 

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

On successfull completion of your standard and onsite training, you will have the option to work at Ian Williams as a fully qualified operative.
