What you will do in your working day

This role will be based in the school:

- Supporting pupils with a range of needs in small groups
or on a 1:1 basis.

- Promoting health and wellbeing across the school 

- Supporting the delivery of Physical Education lessons, sensory circuits and break/lunch time activities.

The training you will be getting

Applicants will follow a L3 Teaching Assistant training pathway specialising in PE, sport and physical activity.

Training will be a mix of blended learning; both face to face & virtual. Face to face will be held centrally in Liverpool.


What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

This role would be ideal for someone who either wanted to move into sports coaching/ development with children and young people or who wants to work in education, with SEND young people.

It will provide a basis for teaching assistant roles and as a route towards teacher training or into other physical activity &/or sport careers.

Things to consider

The post will initially start in the SENDSCOPE base in Woolton with a move to their new location in Crosby You will not be able to take holidays during term time unless exceptional circumstances. Sick pay & benefits are as per your employer. References & a DBS will be required.
