What you will do in your working day

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Apprentice to join our friendly nursery team. At our nursery, we prioritise the well-being and happiness of both our staff and children, striving for quality childcare at all times. This role offers a rewarding yet occasionally demanding environment, requiring the ability to maintain composure and positivity consistently. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work with children of different ages, beginning initially in the Toddler room.


  • Assist in organising and supervising children within the nursery.
  • Foster strong partnerships with parents/guardians, encouraging their involvement in their child’s development.
  • Conduct regular Risk Assessments to ensure a safe environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of designated areas, following hygiene standards set by the Nursery Manager/Deputy.
  • Demonstrate commitment to equality of opportunity for children and families, addressing individual needs accordingly.
  • Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage to promote holistic child development.

The training you will be getting

It has an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Using a blended approach, learners are always at the forefront of our priorities. All learners are assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact.

This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study.

This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 12 month apprenticeship you will have gained; Level 3 Ealy Years Educator Apprenticeship

Things to consider

Working hours Please note that anyone under the age of 18 can only work a maximum of 40 hours per week. Any role which exceeds these hours should be amended accordingly, to fall in line with the legislation.
