What you will do in your working day

  • Working under the daily instruction of the Finance Team Leaders and Managers
  • Bookkeeping - processing daily transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with procedures. Escalating any errors; omissions; risks and unusual issues promptly and effectively
  • Preparation of Management Accounts reports
  • VAT claims
  • Assisting in regular reconciliations, highlighting any issues promptly and effectively
  • Supporting the implementation of change to improve efficiencies and reporting to meet the strategic needs of the business
  • Ensuring accounting policies are consistently applied
  • Preparation of ESFA Returns
  • Annual Accounts Preparation
  • Assisting with internal audits as required and requested for clients
  • Supporting colleagues with ad hoc projects and queries and general administration when needed

The training you will be getting

  • The successful applicant will attend Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber Training once a week and achieve the AAT Assistant Accountant Level 3 qualification
  • AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting

MLG Education Services are a small and friendly team based in a modern farm courtyard in Berkswell with parking. Supporting Academy Trusts across the country with all aspects of finance they offer a wide range of services to the education sector delivering on average 2,000 days of support per annum. They also embrace and encourage personal skills for example IT and Marketing and will support you through your qualification and work.
