What you will do in your working day

  • Working directly with children and having key children you are responsible for
  • Completing observations of children’s play and updating our computer system
  • Supporting children at lunch, with toileting including nappy changing
  • Daily cleaning routine included washing up, cleaning and mopping floors, eating areas, toileting areas, kitchen areas and end of day room cleaning
  • Occasional contact with parents
  • Working with children with special and additional needs

The training you will be getting

  • The Early Years Educator Apprenticeship will take two years to complete
  • You will study at Boston College for half a day a week, and four and half days with your employer
  • On successful completion of the apprenticeship you will achieve a Level 3 Early years educator qualification
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • On successful completion of this apprenticeship we could offer long-term employment with career progression
