What you will do in your working day

Across 18 months the apprentice mainly based in the sales office, will experience a range of sales / customer focused activities including:           

Sales Administration;

  • Order processing, product selection and reporting
  • Customer Management
  • Responding to technical and commercial requirements
  • Pricing and margin analysis
  • External face to face sales


Departmental Communication;

  • Time spent in other departments to understand what is required to achieve a high standard of customer service                    



  • Assisiting with sales literature creation, website management and social media.


Events organizing;

  • Working with customers and internal departments to help host domestic and international visitors

The training you will be getting

  • Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard
  • 1 day per fortnight at Farnborough College of Technology

About the employer

Kinetrol was established in 1958, initially the company’s activities were based on its damping expertise which led to Kinetrol developing a rotary viscous dashpot to smooth motion control. Kinetrol later invented and patented its vane type rotary pneumatic actuator, recognizing the emerging need to automate quarter turn valves. This has become the main stay product of the company and along with this Kinetrol has added control units to meet the demand for more precise and sophisticated process control and monitoring. Kinetrol exports 70% of its sales to many industries across the world including oil and gas, food and drink production, automotive and aerospace to name a few.
