    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

What you will do in your working day

You will be shadowing experienced engineers who will teach you

  • Planning and installing electrical and mechanical systems. 
  • Supporting engineers, surveyors and architects on construction.
  • Helping with essential building tasks such as planning, designing and project management projects.

The training you will be getting

  • Level 3 (Advanced), considered equivalent to A-levels
  • Building Services Engineering Technician qualification upon successful completion of the apprenticeship
  • Functional Skills in maths and English, if required.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Following completion, you could consider taking a further qualification
  • Level 4 (Higher) considered equivalent to a HNC, and work towards becoming an experienced Design Engineer Technician
