What you will do in your working day

  • Turf preparation and laying
  • Planting
  • Laying Artificial Grass
  • Mixing mortar/laying slabs and bricks.
  • Creating patios
  • Maintaining health and safety

The training you will be getting

  • Level 2 Horticulture and Landscape Operative. 
  • One day a week at DCG and the rest of the working week with the employer.

  • Potential to progress to Level 3 for the right candidate.

GCSE or equivalent English and Maths (Grade 2/E) Essential

Things to consider

The candidate must be able to work in all weathers. They need to be able to get to Underwood daily. Some previous experience desired in Construction such as paving and walling – hard landscaping. There will be some heavy lifting involved. Candidates must have a keen interest in the industry.
