What you will do in your working day

  • To maintain a good relationship between staff and patients, by showing sensitivity to the needs of others
  • To maintain total confidentiality regarding information about patients and ensure that all patients are treated in a courteous and respectful manner
  • Undertake administration duties to include but not restricted to: reading coding, scanning of clinical documents, workflow management, monitoring lab results, new patients, deductions, pulling and filing patients' notes, opening posts, registrations, emails, summarising documents, minuting meetings, telephoning patients and hospitals and running audits
  • Any other admin duties the management team feels appropriate to the role
  • This is a very demanding intense role and you will be dealing with sensitive issues

The training you will be getting

You will be undertaking the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard and fully supported by HTP Apprenticeship College.

You will be developing Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours in the following areas:

  • Interpersonal Skills 
  • Quality
  • Planning
  • Project Management
  • Business Processes

As part of the Off-the-job training you will complete a portfolio of evidence, attend online workshops, have tine to study independently, undertake research and writie up assignments.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, and subject to progression to a full time employee, Craneswater Group Practice will increase your pay to the national minimum wage or higher
