What you will do in your working day

You will receive full training in all aspects of your role.

* Provide administrative support to the doctor, this will include booking appointments, writing referrals and creating reports.
*Providing follow up information to patients.
*Assisting in the creation of the monthly payroll.
*Ensuring HR records are kept upto date and completing pre-employment checks.
*Supporting with the recruitment of new employees.
* Liaising with other internal departments to aid the smooth running of the business.
* Responding to patient queries face to face, by telephone or via email.
* Working with the property management team to ensure the safety of the building and its assets.
* Meet and greet patients and provide a high level of customer service.

The training you will be getting

Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship standard, including Functional Skills if required.

This is a work based programme which means that all of your learning will take place on the site of your employment and within your contracted working hours. We host supporting workshops regularly throughout the apprenticeship which you can attend in person at our Derby Road campus.

You will work with expert assessors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession.
You will experience a blended learning model.
You will gather learning evidence, journals and off-the-job records using your e-portfolio.
At the end of the planned learning period, it will be agreed that you are ready to enter 'Gateway' and for your End Point Assessment to be arranged.

The service provided is for any medical matters, small, acute or chronic and is available for babies through to the elderly. Services include travel vaccinations, private GP Consultations, sexual health tests, Aesthetic treatments, employment medicals as well as corporate and individual health screenings.
