What you will do in your working day

Main Duties to Include:

  • Supporting qualified staff with daily routines
  • To Learn the skills of a professional nursery nurse
  • Demonstrate commitment to achieving your Apprenticeship
  • Work closely with your assessor
  • Understanding the importance of health and Safety in your role
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach and use your initiative when tasks have been given to you
  • Promote diversity and equality
  • Learn to follow the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Contribute to and complete children's observations
  • Complete any mandatory tasks that’s required 

The training you will be getting

  • Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard
  • Functional Skills in English and maths if required
  • Apprenticeship learning to take place in the workplace

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Once qualified, progression is offered to the correct candidate. This could be full-time employment on progression to the Level 3 Standard

About the employer

The nursery is open plan design with an outdoor play area facility. Twinkle Toes Day Nursery is open Monday to Friday from 7.00am to 6.00pm, for 51 weeks of the year. The nursery has two areas for the following age groups. The Baby Unit is for children aged 0-2 The Nursery Class is for children 2-5
