What you will do in your working day

Do you want to have lots of fun teaching little minds? Scribbles Day Nursery are looking for someone to come and be a practitioner superhero to our children here. Have you got a caring side but also a side to be silly and allow the children to learn? -  If so, this may be the job for you!

We have a five-room nursery ranging from 4 months to 5 years, each room has its own sparkle for the children to learn in. It will be your responsibility to ensure that the children are engaging and getting the most out of the experience they have here. You will gain knowledge on how to plan for children’s needs and focus points, speaking with parents, working in a team within the room and the nursery as a whole and most importantly your own development for your future in childcare.

Your role will include;

• Spending time with the children to develop their own skills

• Building relationships with the parents

• Learning new ways to track children’s development

• Work on teamwork with your colleagues within the room you are working in

• Attend CPD training

• Gain knowledge of the EYFS

• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.

The training you will be getting

Early years practitioner Level 2.

Blended on/off the job training and location to be confirmed.

Functional Skills English and Maths if required.

Working hours Please note that anyone under the age of 18 can only work a maximum of 40 hours per week. Any role which exceeds these hours should be amended accordingly, to fall in line with the legislation.
