Summary
The broad purpose of the occupation is to support the kitchen in providing the culinary offer by preparing, cooking and finishing a range of food items whilst rotating around each section of the kitchen. You will be expected to develop your skills and knowledge through the standard.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

Prep and storage of Meat
Following recipes
Use of and training of specialisty equipment
Following food safety standards
Learning meat, fish and vegetable cooking methods.
