    £12,313.60 to £22,010.56

    Aged 16 to 18 - £6.40 per hour. Aged 19 or over and in your first year - £6.40 per hour. Aged 19 or over and have completed your first year – between £8.60 - £11.44 age depending. (19-20 £8.60 – 21+ £11.44)

What you will do in your working day

During the first two years of the apprenticeship, you will develop skills in fundamentals, maintenance, and repair. The final two years will allow you to develop advanced diagnostic skills and repair techniques to include but not limited to:

Undertake, overhaul, repair, or refurbishment work on hydraulic equipment;
Carry out standard diagnostic tests on hydraulic components;
Carry out planned maintenance and general repairs;
Complete commercial assessments and field inspections which may require travel via own/company transport;
Check and record all parts and materials required for preparation work;
You will spend time at an external branch to carry out engine and powertrain general repairs.

The training you will be getting

We offer a 4 year Apprenticeship working towards a Land Based Service Engineer Technician Level 3 standard where you will be supported to work alongside our Engineers to carry out planned and unplanned maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and rebuilds of heavy plant equipment.

You will attend training blocks in Cannock throughout your apprenticeship to gain the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours for your apprenticeship standard. These blocks can be 1,2,4 or 6 weeks long. You will then apply those new knowledge and skills in your branch workplace. (All hotel/travel costs are covered by Hydraquip).
