What you will do in your working day

  • To support the delivery of The FA Grassroots Football Strategy and the Shropshire FA Business Strategy
  • To support the work of the Football Services staff
  • Support staff to draft reports, take minutes produce and design presentations
  • Support the affiliation of clubs and ensure safeguarding requirements are met.
  • Assist in the player registration process
  • Provide the highest level of customer excellence to support volunteers across all FA Technology systems (FA Events, Whole
  • Game System, Matchday app and Full-Time)
  • Assist with the organisation and administration of County Cup competitions and Leagues
  • Provide administration and assist in the organising of referee and coaching programmes, festivals, activities, events and communications
  • Support referee registration ensuring all safeguarding criteria are met
  • Support the club and league accreditation process
  • Assist in the production of Cup Final programmes and other association publications
  • Update the website and social media accounts ensuring that they remain a central resource for the dissemination of information to all stakeholders
  • To help produce media releases and content and to update and maintain the media database and help nurture media relationships
  • Provide local marketing support to dedicated FA campaigns.

  • One day a Month at Telford College for a day lease

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Shropshire FA is part of The FA and the organisations offer a wide range of training both online and in person
  • On-the-job training will be provided internally on all FA systems and processes to enable the successful candidate to fulfil the role this will include Website design, card payment systems, Customer Relationship Management systems, Microsoft Teams
  • Training will be provided internally for Safeguarding and First Aid
  • Additionally, the FA provides a suite of courses including Health and Safety, strategic planning, risk management, Manual handling and fire safety, Equality and Diversity
