What you will do in your working day

  • They will support the engineering team with various maintenance procedures including routine and non-routine maintenance
  • Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on regular intervals.
  • Responding to breakdowns and carrying out fault diagnosis.
  • Demonstrate an ability to learn and be practically capable in electrical & mechanical maintenance engineering.
  • Carrying out machine improvements / modifications.
  • Carry out minor machine installations.
  • Working in a safe manner adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
  • Contributing to reducing machinery downtime through maintaining equipment and improving efficiencies.
  • Getting broad exposure to pharmaceutical safety requirements.

The training you will be getting

  • Level 3 Science Industry Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship Standard
  • Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering BTec
  • Practical training at TDR Training School

This standard will meet the professional standards of the Engineering Council for registration as an Engineering Technician (Eng Tech) by an appropriate Professional Engineering Institution.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Full-time employment upon completion of the apprenticeship.
