    £10,500 based on 30-hour week. £14,000 based on 40-hour week

  • Working week

    30 Hours per week over 50 weeks. Potential to increase to a 40 hour week 7.30am - 6.00pm (weekly rota, core hours between 8.00am - 5.30pm) with 1 hour for lunch.

What you will do in your working day

Duties will include:

  • Supporting babies and young children through a range of transitions e.g. moving onto school, moving house or the birth of a sibling
  • Recognising when a child is in danger, at risk of serious harm or abuse and explaining the procedures to be followed to protect them. Types of abuse including: domestic, neglect, physical, emotional, and sexual abuse
  • Demonstrating skills and understanding for the prevention and control of infection, including hand washing, food preparation and hygiene, dealing with spillages safely, safe disposal of waste and using correct personal protective equipment

The training you will be getting

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children's Learning and Development (Early Years Educator).
  • Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF).
  • Training is delivered in the workplace, plus two or three College-based sessions throughout the course. This can be supported by some remote delivery if required.

We are based on the main High street in Wotton-Under-Edge and are open 50 weeks a year. Holiday entitlement: Standard including Bank Holidays with the opportunity to earn extra days holiday for attendance. Staff benefits: nursery polo top and jumper provided
