What you will do in your working day
· Greet patients in the facilities and over the phone
· Assist doctors, nurses and patients
· Schedules appointments for patients
· Perform clerical and administrative tasks
· Signpost patients to other NHS providers
· Greet visitors
· Maintain and keep patient information confidential
The training you will be getting
- Level 2 Apprenticeship in Customer Service level 2.
- This will also include Functional Skills in maths and English, if required.
- End point assessment.
- Certificate of completion of the standard.
- You may have to attend formal college sessions (if English & maths are required).
- You will learn the knowledge, skills and behaviours related to the apprenticeship standard.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
There is room for progression within the surgery. We have an onsite dispensary which there may be an opportunity to progress to a Dispenser with the additional training.
