What you will do in your working day

The apprentice will be required to complete the following duties;

  • Machining components using both Lathe and a machining centre.
  • Taught how to read engineering drawings and construct drawings using CAD system.
  • Business Improvement techniques to constantly maintain and improve work area in terms of effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Following Health and Safety procedures.

The training you will be getting

  • Engineering Operative Standard Level 2 qualification
  • Relevant workplace training
  • Functional skills in maths and English, if necessary

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • To be decided upon completion of training.
