The successful candidate will work closely with the embedded Engineering teams across multiple London campuses to develop their engineering skills while attending college in line with the program requirements.

What you will do in your working day

  • Work alongside the campus engineering teams delivering planned and reactive maintenance
  • Implement newly learned skills in the workplace and share knowledge with the wider teams
  • Complete visual inspections of Mechanical and Electrical assets
  • Raise remedial work with the management team
  • Complete paperwork associated with planned maintenance promptly and to a high standard
  • Work in collaboration with technicians to manage stock levels
  • Assist relevant contractors
  • Offer an excellent level of customer service to all
  • Attend college as and when required in line with the course schedule as well as any additional training required by KCL
  • To ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with all relevant statutory regulations and approved codes of practice, the department’s policies and procedures
  • To assist the Team in delivery of unplanned works
  • Carry out duties as may reasonably be required to allow the department to function flexibly in providing the best possible service to our clients

To comply with the College’s Environmental policy and promote sustainable management techniques.

The training you will be getting

This apprenticeship is delivered as a day release. You will be require to attend college once week.
