What you will do in your working day

As an Apprentice Hairdresser you will be required to:

  • Meet and greet customers
  • Shampoo and condition clients hair
  • Reception duties
  • Maintain a clean salon environment
  • Provide refreshments to customers
  • Prepare customers for stylists to cut, tint hair etc
  • Mixing colours
  • Basic cuts
  • As you develop your skills you will be given the opportunity to style hair, apply tint and colour

The training you will be getting

  • Level 2 Hairdressing Professional qualification.
  • Functional Skills in maths and English (if required).
  • The training will require you to attend our Sheppey College campus, one day per month.
  • The trainer will also visit you in the workplace to complete onsite reviews.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • After you are Level 2 qualified, you can look at progressing onto Advanced and Creative Hair Professionals Level 3.
