What you will do in your working day

Our client is an innovative main contractor and design build partner with a reputation for delivering value engineering and fast-track projects since 1975. The firm deliver construction projects across the retail, logistics, tech, pharma, health, mix-use, office and residential sectors within the UK and Ireland.

They are now looking for an enthusiastic, bubbly and ambitious individual to join their team as an accounts assistant apprentice. The successful candidate must show a can-do attitude and have an interest in finance and accounts. The Accounts Assistant Apprentice is a new role developed to offer support to the Accounts Payable and Finance Manager roles and should be a strong communicator with good organisation skills.

Job Duties:

-          Process supplier & subcontractor invoices through Evolution software

-          Resolving supplier queries

-          Supplier & subcontractor statement reconciliations

-          Monitoring and closing open purchase orders

-          Regular (daily) coding of credit card and reviewing submitted paperwork

-          Processing of employee expenses after reviewing with line managers/Operations Manager(s)

-          Review Credit Aged Balances and request copy invoices/missing statements

-          Analysing mobile telephone and fuel spend.

-          Assisting with month end procedures

-          Ensure compliance with accounting policies, tax regulations and internal policies and processes

They would like someone who is eager to learn, confident, knowledge in word/excel, has a good eye to detail, well presented and someone who works well in a team. The candidate must be ambitious and hard-working with a can-do attitude.

This role will be supported by Starting Offs Level 3 AAT qualification.
