What you will do in your working day

This a great opportunity to earn, whilst you learn and continue your education. You will receive a starting salary of £16,994 which will be reviewed regularly based on performance. The Role:

  • Shadow qualified Engineers assisting with the servicing and repair of lifts.
  • Attend distance learning courses and complete coursework on time and to a high standard.
  • Attend training and mentoring sessions, both in person and online. Participate in at least 20% off-the-job training.
  • Demonstrate the aptitude and behaviours of a future Stannah Lift Engineer.

Requirements:

  • Achieved a minimum of GCSE Grade 4 - 9 (A-C) passes in Maths, English Have a keen interest in engineering or practical experience working in a related role.
  • Applications are to be submitted by 18th April. Interviews will take place in April and June 2024 with the view of successful candidates starting in July 2024.

The training you will be getting

Training and Development: Duration of 36-42 months A mix of practical, mentoring and structured learning at our training centre. You will achieve an NVQ level 3 in Lift Electromechanics.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Further Development: You will receive an annual individual or team appraisal with your manager, giving you the opportunity to discuss appropriate learning and development opportunities for the following year e.g. short courses, further degrees/qualifications, coaching etc.
