What you will do in your working day

Harish Thakrar are an established family-run firm of Chartered Accountants based in Wellingborough, and they like to offer a personalised service to their clients. This is a unique opportunity with great progression.

They are looking for an Accounts and Administration Apprentice to join their small team where they will be trained on how to complete duties such as; General administrative duties including, making and taking phone calls, scanning, filing and processing of outgoing post. As well as this you will learn all about book-keeping, preparation of VAT returns, deal with the processing of payroll and the use of accounting software. You will also be responsible for greeting clients and corresponding via email with clients and other organisations.

At the end of the apprenticeship, you will have achieved the business qualification and will be working so well within the team that, the employer would like to offer you the opportunity to progress onto further qualifications such as AAT and then ACCA.

They have a strong record of taking on apprentices and training them from business administration apprentices until you become chartered accountants through ACCA/ACA. College attendance will be once a month for 9 months at Tresham College, which will begin in September 2024.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Ideally, they would like the successful candidate to remain with the firm for the foreseeable future so they can progress you through AAT and then onto ACCA. Once the apprenticeship is complete.

Do you have an interest in moving onto professional accounting qualifications after the business administration apprenticeship has ended? You will be entitled to 28 days annual leave per year which includes bank holidays. Only Candidates who have fully completed the application will be considered.
