What you will do in your working day

  • Carry out all aspects of the Welding and Fabricating role;
  • Operate as part of a team undertaking tasks as required;
  • Work safely at all times following work instructions and maintain a clean working environment;
  • Embrace our Zero Harm approach to safety;
  • Produce quality product and work efficiently;
  • Contribute to our Continuous Improvement approach and actively help to reduce waste in our processes;
  • Undertake any other duties as required.

The training you will be getting

You will study for and be expected to pass a level 3 Metal Fabricator Apprenticeship – the apprenticeship will last for 42 months. We will support you through your formal apprentice qualification in addition you will follow the Balfour Beatty Enhanced Apprentice programme with a mix of development events and activities.

Following successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be able to develop your career further within Balfour Beatty, including the option to move onto the next level of your apprenticeship.
