What you will do in your working day

Duties will include, but not limited to;

  • General administration and office duties including;
  • Answering phone calls from clients
  • Responding to emails (internal & external)
  • Assist with ordering office & constructions supplies
  • Use of internal IT systems and inputting data
  • Assist Management when required, including taking minutes in meetings
  • Site visits to meet clients
  • Help with Marketing and Social Media, and use of company website
  • Assisting the Accounts / Finance team to understand more about Invoicing, Accounts payable and Tax
  • Shadow all departments to learn all aspects of the business

Full training will be given in order to complete the above duties to the best of your ability. Elmwood Group and Boom Training will provide ongoing support and guidance to help the learner through their apprenticeship studies.

The training you will be getting

Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard, which includes:

  • Modules covering Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours in Business
  • You'll have a personal tutor to guide you through your training
  • You will attend 1:1 sessions with your tutor every 2/3 weeks
  • End Point Assessment (online)
  • Occasional group classes with other learners
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in maths & English if required
  • Business Administrator Certificate from IFATE and City & Guilds

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

If the apprentice proves to be successful with their duties, the role will be expanded beyond the apprenticeship and converted into a permanent position.
