What you will do in your working day

  • Processing return electrical and non electrical items and refurbishing them
  • Unpacking, testing, cleaning, repairing & repackaging items for re-sale
  • Labelling products once they have refurbished
  • Identifying products on job pallets
  • Changing motors and belts as part of processing them
  • Assembling and disassembling the products
  • Identifying damaged goods and striping them down into saleable parts where practical to avoid sending the parts to landfill
  • Any cardboard waste suitable for shredding will be sent to the shredding area and can then be used for packaging

The training you will be getting

  • Level 2 Apprenticeship in General Manufactoring, including NVQ and functional skills maths and English
  • Work based learning

Family run business, trading for 40 years on the same site. Started off refurbishing vacuum cleaners and now refurbish just about any item from a vacuum cleaner to a Christmas tree.
