What you will do in your working day

  • Metal fabrication apprentices will be provided with hands-on training and practical experience in the field of metalworking.
  • Apprentices will work under the guidance of experienced professionals to learn the skills and techniques necessary for fabricating metal components and structures used in Nasmyth’s industry such as construction, manufacturing and aerospace.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and procedures is paramount in metal fabrication. Apprentices learn about safety equipment usage, hazard identification, and safe work practices to prevent accidents and injuries.

The training you will be getting

As well as gaining a broad range of professional knowledge and experience, apprentices will gain academic and vocational qualifications such as the Metal Fabrication Apprenticeship Standard, NVQ Level 3 Fabrication Welding and Level 3.
