Polwhele House School in Truro are offering an exciting opportunity to join their team as an Equine Groom Apprentice. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain an insight into the Equine industry and develop new skills.

Hours between 8.00am and 4.00pm set by rota, with approximately one weekend in four off. Lunch provided on weekdays in term time. Shifts TBC

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • The apprentice will complete a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Equine Groom
  • They will also complete an Emergency First Aid qualification

About this company

Polwhele House Riding School is part of a private school, set within 30 acres of parkland and woodland on the outskirts of Truro. The riding school operates for pupils in term time during the week, and opens to the public on Saturdays and in school holiday periods. There are 8 horses and ponies, stables, tack room and feed room an outdoor arena with jumps and equipment, and portable cross country jumps for the Summer months. The Riding School is a licensed 5-star establishment and a Pony Club Centre. Small and Friendly, we cater mostly for children, offering lessons, hacks, Summer Camp and school holiday activities.
