What you will do in your working day

  • To answer the demands of the telephones, confidently and politely
  • To deal with all patients requests via telephone and at reception calmly and effectively
  • Respond to all queries and requests for assistance from visitors in a professional manner
  • Book appointments by ensuring sufficient information is recorded to assist consultations
  • Action tasks assigned by clinicians and relay relevant information as instructed
  • An ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness and common sense to work well within the team
  • Give assistance to the clinical team if requested
  • Excellent IT and communication skills

The training you will be getting

  • Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice standard - 4 days with employer and day release at College
  • Location – 2 Pease Way, Newton Aycliffe DL5 5NH
  • Working 5 days per week inclusive of 1 day release for study at Darlington College
