What you will do in your working day

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Interact and support children of all age groups as required
  • Provide high quality care and activities for children which
    recognize both individual and group requirements
  • Work alongside parents and other family members and make them feel welcome
  • To be involved in out of work activities e.g. staff training
    courses
  • Ensure the highest standard of child safety is always
    paramount within the nursery
  • Complete relevant paperwork associated with the children
    and nursery requirements.

The training you will be getting

  • You will work towards a Level 3 Early Years Educator Qualification and will work towards Paediatric First Aid Qualification.
  • Apprentices who have not achieved the equivalent of level 2 in
    maths and English, must achieve these prior to end point assessment.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Progressing to permanent ongoing employment.
  • Progression to a level 4 qualifiction.
